Put a new fiscal-year rollover process into operation

What changed: A rollover process was reported live with documentation and training; financial exceptions remained open.

The requirement

A public transit agency needed to carry open purchasing commitments into the next fiscal year in JD Edwards. Allari worked with its finance and ERP team to address commitment-integrity issues, implement the rollover process and prepare stakeholders to use it. Open purchase orders and requisitions tie up budget. Moving them into a new fiscal year called for more than running a job: the agency needed functional investigation, agreed correction steps and a process its team could operate.

The work

The engagement covered commitment-integrity corrections, process documentation, rollover implementation and stakeholder training. The project status tracked these as separate phases, keeping the operating process and the preparation of its users visible alongside the technical implementation.

Implementation and remaining exceptions

The January 2026 project status reported the rollover process completed and live for users, with documentation, implementation and stakeholder training marked complete. That milestone did not resolve every accounting exception: the same report recorded two Oracle service requests for a business case and post-go-live errors affecting 35 accounts. Further investigation and corrections remained listed as pending work.

What your team can take from this

A live process and trained users were an implementation milestone. Remaining financial exceptions still required their own follow-up and validation.
