The requirement
The provider was assembling operational reports from JDE extracts and spreadsheets owned by different production lines. Reporting definitions, refresh responsibilities and the path back to source data needed to be brought together. More individual reports would not resolve that coordination problem.
The work
Allari’s BI team built a common reporting model from the JDE data and deployed Power BI dashboards on top of it. The model brought eight production lines into a shared reporting structure.
The work connected data modeling, dashboard delivery and validation against source information. A governed refresh process and common definitions gave users a consistent basis for reviewing the figures rather than circulating separately assembled spreadsheets.
What was delivered
The published engagement account reports the first production dashboard delivered in one week and a common reporting model covering eight production lines. Those are the delivery milestones described here.
Dashboard access replaced a manual extract-and-assemble step for the reporting brought into the model. How current a figure is depends on the agreed refresh schedule. Additional measures, new sources and changed business requirements still need review and, where required, delivery work.
Keep the reporting usable
A dashboard needs operating ownership after release. Agree who maintains definitions, refresh jobs, access and changes. Confirm how users will validate figures, how exceptions will be investigated and when a new requirement needs the BI team.
For a comparable request, start with the decision the report must support, the data involved, the required freshness and the acceptance checks. That gives functional, data and reporting specialists a shared delivery target.
