A lean IT team needed broader support and tested recovery.

A lean IT function gained business and technical expertise through one relationship, including documented recovery and tested failover. The scope expanded as operating needs became clearer.

How we handled the work

01

A lean IT team could not cover every skill.

A consumer-products business needed daily ERP operations, help with business-user requests and dependable recovery readiness. Its lean internal IT function could not supply every skill itself.

02

Added functional support, development and integrations.

Allari’s initial CNC and database role grew into a direct relationship spanning functional support, development, integrations and reporting. Delivery records include item-data requests, order-commitment issues, file-transfer changes and routine technical maintenance.

User interviews also produced an improvement register covering inventory reconciliation, bank processes and reporting. The register organized opportunities for the customer to prioritize next.

03

Implemented recovery, then exercised failover.

After an infrastructure migration, Allari implemented a mirrored JDE recovery environment, database replication and monitoring. Recovery procedures and knowledge transfer made the operating responsibilities explicit.

A controlled failover exercise validated database promotion, application activation, user connectivity, batch execution and business checks within the planned test window. Selected recurring database checks moved into automation.

04

Broader coverage. Tested recovery. Selected checks automated.

The customer could draw on business and technical expertise through one relationship. The recovery solution combined automation with continued human responsibility for testing, patching and change coordination.

The recovery work joined infrastructure, database, application and business checks in a controlled exercise. The internal team could see how the recovery process worked and who owned each stage.

What this example shows about the approach.

Functional support, engineering, procedures and testing came together through one relationship, giving the customer access to a broader delivery organization around its lean internal team.

For current shared services, consumption can increase or decrease with agreed demand without a long-term shared-service commitment. Dedicated resources, projects and service guarantees have their own terms.

Coordinate the change beyond the first build.

In a separate 2025 delivery, Allari developed date-range-based CSV automation and carried it through customer review and final testing. The work was completed under the broader integration go-live, with training, documentation and a clean run tracked as handover activities.

The CSV automation followed its own development, review and final-testing path within the broader integration program, connecting a defined technical change with the people responsible for review and handover.
